The Teddington Pram Race

Race Rules

1. Teams must consist of up to four people pushing an unpowered wheeled vehicle such as a pram or wheelchair plus one person seated in the pram or chair.

2. No form of propulsion and or steering (other than pushing) must be built or attached to the pram, trolley or wheelchair.

3. The route will begin at The Masons Arms (Walpole Road) and finish at the Teddington Village Fair (Udney Park Gardens). Further details will be provided on the day and teams must use designated road crossings where indicated by race marshals.

4. Each team will raise their own sponsorship; ALL this money will go to the local nominated good causes and charities.

5. No competitor shall deliberately hinder or impede the progress of any other competitor.

6. Entry is open to anyone but in the event that a team includes any members under 18, a responsible adult must take responsibility for the team.

7. Sponsor forms will be provided and will include a section for opting in for Gift Aid. A Just Giving online account will also be set up by the organisers for each team.

8. By signing the entry form the designated Team Leader accepts these conditions on behalf of all team members. The entry form will include :

All competitors, entrants, participants enter at their own risk and NO LIABILITY of any kind is or will be accepted by the organising committee nor its officials, helpers, assistants or any connections thereof, for any accident incident, occurrence, or for any liability or damages of any kind, however arising out of the event, before, during or after.

10.All competitors confirm that they have read, understood and accepted the rules and risks and will comply with any reasonable request of any Police Officer/Race Official/ Marshal especially in the interests of themselves, another competitor any spectator or official.

11.All competitors confirm by entry that they are fit enough to take part and if in ANY doubt they should not enter unless they have sought medical advice from a medical practitioner i.e. a medical doctor.

12.Any monies collected by any entrant or spectator must be passed to a member of the Pram Race Committee who will distribute all monies to the local nominated good causes and charities.

Teams will be judged before the event for the Best Dressed Category. The presentation of Awards will take place at the Teddington Village Fair at the end of the race.

14.Photographs, video or other digital recording of competitors or the general public may be used for further promotion of the event.

15.The Pram Race Committee’s decision in all matters is final.
